Through the innocence of a child’s perspective I capture stories that tell of family, pride, spirituality and love, along with hard work, community and the culture of a lifestyle long gone. Painting from a child’s perspective seems to be accepted with open arms even though some of the themes and topics painted are memories that some would like to forget. Even so a sense of pride and hope of a better tomorrow shines through.
As a folk artist I have been painting for 20 years. Some of the more popular of my series are Bayou Heaven, Watermelon Babies, and Baptisms. They have been selling out since their conception.

Currently I am working on a collection of entitled Stroke of Genius, consisting of paintings and writings of my life.
